Become a Volunteer FacilitatorEach week, our peer-to-peer support groups focus on an activity centered around the discussion of grief. Groups consist of 10 participants or less and organized by developmental ages. Our onboarding process ensures our volunteers are properly trained and no prior experience is necessary.
Two facilitators work together to lead group discussions and activities for children to share their grief journey. To maintain consistency and build trust among our families, we ask volunteers to commit to all three series throughout the year, or 24 evenings total. Our onboarding process requires an in-person interview, a tour of the Center, and two references. Volunteers must consent to a background check and attend the Orientation Training and other continuing education workshops provided by FoA. If you enjoy working with children and wish to contribute to our mission of creating a world where no child grieves alone, we would love to welcome you to our volunteer team! |
How to ApplyIf you would like to apply to any of our volunteer positions, please fill out the application and send the reference form to two individuals: one personal and one professional.
