Become a Volunteer FacilitatorWe use volunteer facilitators to lead peer-to-peer support groups for children, teens, and caregivers. Each week, our groups focus on a theme/activity centered around the discussion of grief. All curriculum, materials, and training is provided by Friends of Aine. Groups consist two co-facilitators working together with a group of 10 participants or less. Attendees are organized by developmental ages. Our onboarding process includes an Orientation training and requires two references and a background check. No prior experience is necessary, just a compassionate heart!
We run our evening groups in three 8-week series throughout the academic year (Fall, Winter, Spring). Following the initial training, the commitment is approximately 3.5 hours per week. If you enjoy working with children and wish to contribute to our mission of creating a world where no child grieves alone, we would love to welcome you to our volunteer team! |
How to ApplyIf you would like to apply to any of our volunteer positions, please fill out the application and send the reference form to two individuals: one personal and one professional.
