"Talk About Grief" Traveling Art ExhibitThe Friends of Aine art campaign provides awareness of child bereavement as a public health issue and serves as a powerful outlet for the expression of grief. Art provides grieving children a voice to communicate their emotions, especially when they may not know the words to vocalize their thoughts and feelings. This allows peers the opportunity to help one another through connection and creativity.
Children, ages 4-18 are invited to submit their paintings, drawings, and doodles to show what their grief looks like to them, how they express their feelings, or provide illustrations that offer helpful coping strategies. Submitted artwork may be used in our traveling exhibit or as part of our Grief Backpack educational resources, both used throughout the state and beyond. |
