A Friends of Aine OverviewOur peer-to-peer support groups operate for eight-week sessions from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in safe, comfortable, age-specific group rooms. We offer Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions with the choice of Tuesday or Thursday evenings.
Friends of Aine programs are as unique as the individuals we serve, and our customizable approach offers grief-based activities to invite conversation. Our trained volunteer facilitators foster a secure environment allowing children and teens the ability to discuss and work through grief emotions attributed to their losses. Our FoA curriculum promotes essential life skills to encourage the development of coping strategies to effectively process grief. To further support families with bereavement services to manage the trauma and suffering triggered by the death of a loved one, we offer adult groups simultaneously to assist caregivers in supporting grieving children and teens.
